The Briarcliff Business Partner Alliance (BBPA) was founded in 2009 as a way for local businesses to connect with and build relationships with other area businesses and their employees. To become a member, we ask that you be passionate about your business and have a sincere desire to support local communities and businesses in the process.
Each month we meet at a different business to network and to spotlight their services. This is a great way to showcase the business and their space and to help spread the word about what products or services they offer. The BBPA is different from all other networking groups because our efforts are also focused on helping locally nominated 5013c charities.
Each year in September the BBPA board and members accept applications for 5013c charities and the group as a whole elects the charity recipient to receive all the net proceeds. Throughout the year the BBPA hosts events to raise funds for the elected charity.
The first event of the year is an annual music festival held in May. The festival features breweries, food, artists, local business booths & more. The second event is the annual holiday party held in December. This event features a 5 course meal, live music and a silent auction with all items donated by BBPA members.
In the last 5 years, we have donated materials or money to the following charities: Hillcrest Ministries, Sleepyhead Beds, Synergy Services, Harvesters, TNK Children’s Foundation and the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation/Feed Northland Kids. By giving to the community our businesses have prospered in return.
