Northland Native to Share New Book, Bitty Bot, at Woodneath Library
Independence, MO – A native of Liberty, Mo., children’s author Tim McCanna is returning to his hometown for a special storytime event at Mid-Continent Public Library’s Woodneath Library Center on Sunday, December 11 featuring his newest book, Bitty Bot. The children’s picture book, illustrated by Tad Carpenter, tells the story of a sprightly young robot that decides to build a rocket ship and take off on an adventure rather than tuck in and go to sleep during bedtime.
McCanna’s program will begin at 2:00 p.m. with a reading of Bitty Bot during which he will play the ukulele. Following the reading, there will be a book sale and signing offered in partnership with Rainy Day Books. McCanna’s other books include Teeny Tiny Trucks, which was published in 2013, as well as Watersong and Barnyard Boogie!, which are both set to publish in 2017.
“Tim’s books offer a delightful blend of child-like irreverence and unique themes that keep both children and their caregivers engaged and enraptured,” said Andie Paloutzian, Story Center Program Manager. “We’re very excited to welcome him back to his old stomping grounds and provide local families the chance to enjoy his latest work.”
