Forward Kansas City has endorsed the $800 million infrastructure improvements plan going to Kansas City voters April 4.
City Manager Troy Schulte presented details of the three ballot questions during a recent Forward Kansas City Executive Committee meeting. Forward Kansas City President Tim Kristl explained why the organization is supporting the three main issues.
“We believe there is balance in the plan, and that it serves all six council districts well. The Northland, infrastructure projects are critical to address serious safety, runoff and quality of life concerns, and they reflect issues many Northland groups have identified as priorities for years.” Kristl added, “Without passage of the proposed general obligation bonds, these projects may never get done.”
Forward Kansas City is a nonpartisan organization that fosters civic consciousness, supports candidates, and takes positions on public policies affecting the Kansas City, Missouri community, in particular the Northland.
