The second annual Kansas City Northland Heroes for Hope will feature a route filled with beautiful parkways while raising funds for children’s charities on Saturday, April 23.

Events will include a half marathon, 5K run/walk and special “Kid Hero Dash” for children.

Showcasing beautiful Shoal Creek Parkway and the Kansas City Police Trail of Heroes, the race will start and finish at Sam’s Club, 8130 N. Church Rd., Kansas City, 64158.

Proceeds will help benefit the Early Childhood Education Center, the Kansas City Police Athletic League, Feed Northland Kids and All God’s Children. With the race theme that emphasizes being a hero for children, both children and adults are encouraged to dress in their favorite superhero costume.

The half marathon begins at 7 a.m. and the 5k at 7:30 a.m. For more information, visit www.heroesforhopekc.com. You can watch highlights from last year’s event below.
