Kevin O’Neill Announces Candidacy for Kansas City 1st District at Large Seat

Northlander Kevin O’Neill has announced his candidacy for the Kansas City 1st District at-large seat that is currently occupied by Scott Wagner. Wagner will be termed out in 2019.

O’Neill has published the Labor Beacon Newspaper for the past 24 years. According to O’Neill he writes about issues that deal with “working families” and the politics of Kansas City and the state.

“I am running because it takes a dedicated councilman to make this community a better place to live. As a father of 5, I know what is important to families.  I’m running to talk about all the important issues facing families such as job creation, ending crime, and blight in our neighborhoods.  I am 60 years old and have spent the majority of my life working to make a difference for the community I live in as well as earn a living to support my family. I am tired of politics as usual and I feel I can make a difference.”
O’Neill is looking to speak with civic groups and interested citizens you can contact him at 816-820-5930 or by email or at laborkevin [at] aol.com.
