Adam Larson, a teenager from Liberty, Missouri, recently started his Eagle Scout Project to help and better the community as a whole.

Adam’s goal for his project was to improve a dog park at Stocksdale Park. By doing so, he’s made the park much more inviting to not only the people, but area dogs.

From the city of Liberty’s Facebook page, “On Monday, Mayor Brenton presented a proclamation to Adam Larson who built and installed agility amenities at the Liberty Dog Park for his Eagle Scout project. The Liberty Parks Department along with the 4- and 2-legged patrons of the dog park, appreciate Adam’s hard work!”

Both of Adam’s parents, Janet and Alex Larson, are extremely excited and so proud to see the impressive work their son has brought to the community of Liberty.

Janet Larson also explain that  “Adam met with a dog trainer Lori Judd from Northland Agility to get her advice on an AKC-styled layout for the dog park.”

His Eagle Court of Honor, a formal recognition with families, friends, and the public, was completed on February 7th.
