Streetcar opponents want citywide vote on expansion

Petition seeks to put the proposed 3.5-mile extension, which has an estimated cost of $227 million, to a citywide vote. Seeks to “enact restrictions on requesting, implementing, advancing, furthering, funding or fostering any plan or study to construct any fixed rail transit system or to expand the existing fixed rail transit system” without a citywide vote.
