About The Northland News Opinion Section

If a society is to succeed, it must have an informed citizenry. People are often busy and don’t always know what their elected officials are up to.

It is our goal to do our best to give any/all elected officials that affect your life here in Clay County an open platform to talk with you.

While many of our elected officials have email newsletters, there’s a chance you don’t see them all or subscribe to any of them. As we receive them, we’ll try and post them, so you always know what they may have to say. You may also occasionally see YouTube videos from various officials when it is warranted.

In addition, if you are a resident of Clay County, we will happily give you a platform to express your opinions on the site (within reason and editorial discretion). Please submit any letters to stories [at] thenorthlandnews.com. In the subject line add the words “Citizen Voices.” We’ll do our best to publish your opinion in the hopes it starts a dialogue about the issue you’re passionate about.
